Download Pinterest Media on Windows

Windows users can process a public Pin in a current browser without installing desktop software. The browser normally saves the result to Downloads, while Windows file associations determine which application opens the media.

Public pinterest.com and pin.it links only. Never enter login details.

Save through your existing browser

Copy an individual public Pin URL, paste it into the downloader, review the returned preview, and choose Download only when you have permission. Edge, Chrome, and Firefox each use the standard Windows download system and can show the completed file in File Explorer.

Find the file and preserve its extension

Open File Explorer and select Downloads in the navigation pane, or use the browser's download history and choose Show in folder. Keep known filename extensions visible when diagnosing a file. Renaming .mp4 to another extension does not convert the media and may prevent normal playback.

Respond safely to browser warnings

A normal Pinterest image or MP4 should not require an executable installer. Do not open a file ending in .exe, .msi, .bat, or another unexpected executable type. If organizational security policies block downloads, use an approved device or ask the administrator instead of bypassing controls.

Questions about download pinterest media on windows

Where are Pinterest downloads saved on Windows?

Most browsers use your Downloads folder unless you configured another location or enabled a save-location prompt.

Do I need a Windows application?

No. A current browser is sufficient, and this site does not distribute an executable installer.

Why will an MP4 not open?

The transfer may be incomplete, the source codec may be unsupported by your selected player, or the filename extension may have been changed incorrectly.
